Angeline Rose Jamjamian

Angeline Rose Jamjamian passed away at the age of 94 on Friday, September 13, 2024 in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Angie was the third daughter of John and Nevart (Baronian) Jamjamian and was born on June 22, 1930.  She lived in St. Louis until 1969, at which time she moved to Ladue where she lived until late in her life.

Angie worked for Union Pacific Railroad until retiring to take care of her mother in the late 1980s.  Angie was especially devoted to her family, taking care of her parents and showing her niece Carla (Chuchian) Simonian and nephews Kenneth and Stephen Melikian the best of the St. Louis area when they would come and visit. She continued the tradition of being an excellent tour guide when Carla, Kenneth and Stephen would visit with their families.

Angie was predeceased by her parents, her sister Helen (Jamjamian) Melikian and Helen’s husband, Clifford Melikian, and her sister Marie (Jamjamian) Chuchian and Marie’s husband, Rex Chuchian.  She is survived by her niece Carla and her nephews Kenneth and Stephen, 6 great nieces and 2 great nephews, and 1 great-grandniece and 5 great-grandnephews.

Angie was an active and devoted member of the Holy Virgin Mary & Shoghagat Armenian Church in Swansea, Illinois, where she taught Sunday School for several year, and she volunteered at the Shriner's Hospital and the Animal Shelter.  She was also a devoted fan of her St. Louis Cardinals.  Most of all, however, she loved all things St. Louis.

The family requests that donations made in honor of Angie be made to Holy Virgin Mary & Shoghagat Armenian Church.

SERVICES: Funeral service will be held in the Great Hall of Ambruster Chapel, Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow, Oak Grove Cemetery.
