Benjamin Harvey Boone

Benjamin Harvey Boone, 94, died in his home, holding his beloved wife's hand in the early hours of Wednesday, July 29, 2020. Ben was an amazing human being, husband, father, and grandfather... someone worth knowing.

Born in Jefferson City, October 28, 1925 to Bessie Buhla (Baker) and Frank Leslie Boone, his life turned when his father died in his arms in 1934.

He learned early to live life on his own terms. At age 17, Ben joined the Navy and was later commended for his distinguished service in World War II.

Primarily self-taught, skilled at multiple trades, he later started his own business. Ben was admired for his mechanical ingenuity, deep knowledge of nature, and devotion to family.

Each and every one of his family members: wife Jeanette and children Cindy, Patty, Jenny, Kerry, and Mike were the most fortunate human beings to have had him in their lives. He will always live in our hearts, inspire us to our best, and guide us in troubled times.

Services: Visitation Sunday, 4-7 pm, August 2nd at Ambruster Chapel. Funeral Mass Monday, 10 am, August 3rd at St. Cronan, 1202 S Boyle Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110.
