Robert William Reagan

Robert William Reagan, 84, of Plantation, FL, passed away on December 5.

Born in St. Louis to Maurice & Mary Jane Reagan on September 23, 1937, Bob was a curious boy who loved to tinker with and fix old clocks, watches, and guns.  As a youth his curiosity and love of jazz & blues had him sneaking into music clubs in St. Louis to listen and talk with the musicians.

Bob attended University City Senior High School in University City, Missouri. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the Missouri Air National Guard, later transferring to active duty in the U.S. Army, where he worked on the development of advanced missile systems.  After completing nearly 7 years in the military, he went on to work for JPL, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he worked as a mission controller for the Viking Spacecraft to map Mars.  Simultaneously earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Cal State L.A.  Bob went on to have a highly successful career at Bendix Corporation. After which he became an entrepreneur with his last company being Reagan Industries focusing on heavy duty truck parts.  His military and business careers had him living throughout the United States. He was a self-made man with a dedicated work ethic.

Bob continued his passion for antiques and history throughout his life. His interest and pride in his Irish ancestry led him to search out his ancestors and family, while also enjoying travel whenever possible.
