Floyd M. Scott

Peacefully on May 15, 2018 at the age of 95. Son of the late John M. and Jennie Bull Scott; husband of the late Louise Scott; survived by his daughter-in-law Helen Mae Scott (Nee Tow), the wife of his only child, the late Robert W. Scott - whom he dearly loved; his grandchildren: Helen Mills, Robert M. Scott, Steven W. Scott and John R. Scott; eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren – all reside in the state of Missouri. He is greatly missed.

Graduate of Normandy High School class of 1939. After High School Floyd joined the US Army Air Corps, attending flight school and becoming a pilot. He served four years, attaining the rank of 2nd Lieutenant with several military honors. During his service in WWII he guided his crew safely out of enemy territory after being shot down and recalled later “the main thing was not to get caught”.

After the War, Floyd went on to attend and graduate College, becoming an electrical engineer. He retired from A.O. Smith. He and his late wife Louise spent most of their retirement years traveling across the US in their RV.

Services: A Memorial service will be held in the Great Hall of Ambruster Chapel on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at 10:30 am.
