Maurice Lauderdale
Mr. Maurice Lauderdale, affectionately known as "catfish," passed away on June 25, 2024. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, and most recently resided in Stockton, California, his favorite place in the world.
Maurice had a passion for cars, football, and cooking. He loved nothing more than preparing delicious meals and spending time with his friends and family. He was a dedicated prep cook, and his proudest accomplishment was ensuring the safety and well-being of his children.
Maurice's friendly and outgoing nature made him a cherished friend to many, especially the women in his life. He had two daughters and eight grandchildren, as well as a brother and fifteen half brothers and sisters in Cleveland, Ohio. He is survived by his brother, Dr. Naaman Lauderdale, PhD ThD, and his uncle and aunts, Mr. Marcellus Pulliam, Ms. Shirley Pulliam, Christine Pulliam, and Mary Louise May.
In addition to his immediate family, Maurice leaves behind a wide network of relatives, including John A. Holbrook, Sarah Howard, Amina Campbell-Jackson, Georgann Ekpo, Charlene Marie Jordon, Anthony Pulliam, and second cousins Shyrah Sharp and Maya Howard. He had a special bond with his third cousin, MaLia Howard, as well as numerous other relatives from the Atkins and Duckworth families in Ohio.
Maurice will be remembered for his attentive listening skills and his unwavering support for the educational achievements of those close to him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Although Mr. Maurice Lauderdale's passed at 61, his presence will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
Services: Visitation from 9:30 am – 10:50 am at Ambruster Chapel, 6633 Clayton Road, St. Louis, MO 63117. Funeral Service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Burial and Full Military Honors: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd St. Louis, MO 63125. Repast to follow back at Ambruster Chapel.
