James Gan

James Michael Gan of Pacfic, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 12th, 2024, at the age of 26 years old.

He was born to Mary Ann Gan and Kenny Gan December 21st, 1997.

He is survived by his siblings; Dana Gan, Lynn Ellwood, Ryan DeVaney, Catherine Gan-Bailey, Nathan Gan, Ashley Ambrecht, and 13 nieces and nephews, as well as his closest friends.

He attended Pacific High school and was a part of the MCJROTC program where he participated in the drill team and earned a lot of accomplishments and experiences. He also was on the Cross Country team where he placed in several races. After high school James enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a Small Arms Repairman where he served for 4 active years in Virginia and Japan. Before his discharge in January 2024, James was promoted 3 times in his 4 years and earned the rank of Sergeant, something he was very proud of.

After the military, James worked at several gun stores and shooting ranges to continue his passion for weaponry.

As most of us know, James suffered mental health complications in his last year and this ultimately led to the loss of his own life.

SERVICES: Wake will be held on Monday, May 20th, 2024 at 5pm at Amruster Chapel, 6633 Clayton Rd. Visitation at 11am and funeral to be held at 12pm on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Gray Summit, 2705 Hwy 100 Interment: James will be laid to rest with his mom and grandmother's at St. Mathew's Cemetary, 4360 Bates St, St. Louis MO following service.
