Erica Lynne (Erikita) Browning
Age 41, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Erica was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 13,1980, where she attended public schools, and graduated in 1998 from Riverside High School. Erica played varsity soccer and was chosen for the Art Satellite Program, spending afternoons in the Milwaukee Art Museum studying and creating in the galleries. She loved working with her father in his outdoor recreation store (Wilderness Connection) and enjoyed attending sea kayak symposiums with him. Erica earned her BFA degree at the Kansas City Arts Institute in 2002.
Erica loved being with people, had a great sense of humor and was a very hard worker. She managed a retail store in St. Louis, and most recently moved between making her hand-crafted pocket squares and scarves, operating her downtown St. Louis store, One Cafe and Market, and handling marketing for Stanley’s Cigar Lounge. Erica cared for others. She was quick to laugh, quick to cry, and had a smile that would light up the room. Erica was loved to the moon and back by so very many.
Erica is survived by her long-time love Patrick Stanley of St. Louis, Missouri; her parents Astrid and John Browning of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her brother Ian of Denver Colorado ; nieces Susie, Katharine, and Molly Mehle; nephews Ryan and Evan Stanley; a host of brothers and sisters in laws; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends…along with her beloved German Shepherd puppy Charlie.
