Thomas J. Ruoff
Thomas J. Ruoff 87, born Feb. 1, 1932 in Peoria, Illinois. Went to the Lord on June 17th immediately upon receiving the Last Sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church. He moved to St. Louis in 1945, attended St. Louis University High School and St. Louis University, where he met his wife Joann. After graduating in 1954, he served 2 years in the army in Germany during the Korean War. He and Joann married in 1957 at the College Church. Attended Washington University School of Social Work, receiving his Masters Degree in 1960. Beloved father of Thomas M., John (Nessa), Mary (Michael) Hodsdon,Anna Marie (Tom) Magee, Meg Dye, and Christopher. Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle and friend to many.
Tom was proud of his long career as a social worker and social work supervisor in which he touched many lives. He also touched many lives in his volunteer work especially at Little Flower Church and school and his ten years as leader of Boy Scout Troop 337.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 13th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Little Flower, 1275 Boland Place. Visitation prior to the service 10-11:00 a.m. Luncheon immediately following in church hall. All are welcome.
